Elvis Aron Presley was born in Tupelo,
Mississippi, January 8, 1935 to Gladys
Love and Vernon Elvis Presley. His twin
brother Jesse Garon Presley died at birth.
When Elvis was eight, the family moved to
Memphis to find work. It was in Memphis
where the legend was to become the
American Dream as dirty poor young man
changed the course of music for his
baby-boomer generation and future
generations. As
John Lennon said, "Before Elvis there was nothing…"
